Automatic pipeline for brain autoradiography image analysis

Zuzana Čočková, PhD, from Charles University and Francisco Lopez-Picón, PhD, from Turku PET Centre developed the Mouse Brain Alignment Tool (MBAT), for processing autoradiographic (ARG) images of mouse brain tissue sections and analyzing them using topographical data from the Allen Institute’s Mouse Brain Atlas.

Via ISIDORe, they successfully applied for access to the Finnish Advanced Microscopy Node. The users had sought support for setting up/developing an analysis pipeline / software for processing autoradiographic images of mouse brain tissue sections from a study that investigates brain damage caused by COVID-19. The analysis pipeline generated in this project will be made available on Github on open access. Through this open access this ISIDORe project result can also find its way to the BY-COVID project and registries, such as the Infectious Diseases Toolkit.
