A new ISIDORe supported publication has been released in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology titled “Production, purification, and quality assessment of borrelial proteins CspZ from Borrelia burgdorferi and FhbA from Borrelia hermsii“.
This research focuses on the biochemical characterization of these two key proteins, which are crucial for Borrelia’s ability to evade the human immune system. The study aims to enhance the understanding of Borrelia pathogenesis and improve diagnostic methods for Lyme borreliosis and relapsing fever.
The study was supported by ISIDORe and INSTRUCT-ERIC.
