ISIDORe Emergency Call Dedicated To Monkeypox virus Is Temporarily Closed

The ISIDORe consortium is pleased to announce that the first stage of its emergency call for proposals, to support scientists with an interest in Monkeypox virus (MPXV) has received many excellent applications. This call is now closed until September.

The multidisciplinary call, open to all scientists both from academia and the private sector received 17 pre-applications in a month. These are now being processed and successful projects will be contacted. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis, based on their feasibility and scientific merit (through independent peer review). Selected projects will be implemented as rapidly as possible.

Successful applicants will be given free of charge access to our services for supporting and advancing research on one of the topics listed on the MPXV Call webpage, which are divided into five main sections:

  • Surveillance, Transmission & Epidemic Risk Management;
  • MPXV Natural history
  • Diagnostics;
  • Vaccines;
  • Social Sciences & Epidemiology.

The Monkeypox virus call for proposals will reopen in September to allow more projects to be submitted and benefit from our services.
